Then
we come to
Jetavana Anāthapiņdasyārāma
where is a peace, quiet and beautiful garden. We could find
out that is quite grand of samgharama from the building
ruins. Anatthapindika was a name of businessman who
contributed this garden and built samgharama to Buddha,
as for Jetavana was the woods of the Prince Jeta.
Originally the gardens belonged to Prince Jeta, he
refused to sell Anatthapindika at first, but he was
moved by his zeal and piety later and donated to Buddha with
Anatthapindika. After completing the samgharama
became the biggest one of Buddha times and could support
thousands of monks to live. Many Buddhist sūtra with
important legend all were finished from here.
